Yesterday I criticized a piece of music as “terrible.”

My 6-year-old son corrected me. “It’s not TERRIBLE, Dad,” he said. “It’s just SILLY.”

When did he develop such tact? He seems to be growing up so fast.

On the other hand, he still likes to eat vitamins right out of my hand, like a dog.

He still can’t pronounce his R’s.

He still likes Christmas music at bedtime. Every night. Even in March.

And he still takes naps in the most awkward of positions.
