“Ben Rides On” is the title of a delightful picture book about a boy and his beloved bicycle, given to us years ago by my sister, my family’s most excellent giver of gifts.
This summer, the book has turned out to be prophetic, as my Ben learned to ride without training wheels at the Pedalheads day camp, and now continues to hone his skills via early-morning “bike adventures” with me while the rest of the family sleeps.
