On June 5th, my sister gave birth to her first child, a girl who she and her husband (who is half-French) are calling Camille. They chose this name in part because it “works” both in English and in French.

Thanks to the wonders of BlackBerry, we received an email alert upon their arrival at the hospital and another within an hour of Camille’s emergence from the womb.

Bienvenue, Camille!

It's weird: technology has redeeming values when it does things like that. Will they call her Cami, do you think? Maybe with the accent on the second syllable. Congratulations, Uncle Greg.
