Group therapy
January 3, 2010A friend of mine refers to her long runs with pals as “group therapy.” I know what she means even though I do virtually all of my training alone. And so I’m putting out the call: if you’d like to join me on Saturday, January 9th for part of my run around Lake Union, please do so! I’ll be starting at the University of Washington’s Benjamin Hall Interdisciplinary Research Building (“Hall Hall”) at about 10:15 AM and running clockwise around the lake using the route shown here:
The Best Lake Union Loop Yet
I hope to complete eight or nine laps of this 6.1-mile loop at an average pace of 7:30-8:00 per mile, so I should be out there until 4 or 5 PM. Feel free to call me on my cell phone (206-290-8826) during the run if you want to check on my whereabouts … or just run counterclockwise along the loop until you bump into me!
I'll be thinking of you. Good luck on the long training run.
ha! i might take you up on that (well, for a lap or two)! don't worry, i also might not.might i ask *why* you're doing a 48.8-54.9 mile run? i mean, besides the fact that you can? is there a 100 miler coming up that i don't know about?
whoops, nevermind! i decided to be pro-active looked back a whopping four posts into your archive to find you're running a 100 miler in about a month.
Wow, thanks for the invite. What a cool opportunity. If I wasn't trying to better my bridle trail 50k time from 2x your CR to 1.75x your CR on Saturday, I'd be all over that. Good luck with RR100.
