Yes, Dr. Ecologist … that’s DNA base-pairing (guanine-cytosine). Perhaps you remember DNA from genetics class? 🙂

Ha ha. I actually was assuming it was a compound more specific to your interests in and outside the lab, perhaps something to do with metabolic biochemistry.
Don’t make me show you an unlabeled figure you saw in your undergraduate ecology class and ask you to explain it. 😉
