I anticipate writing some more political stuff soon, so how about a quick family palate-cleanser first?

It’s been quite a while since I posted on the topic of collaborating with my eldest son, Phil.

I shared our take on Goldilocks in 2020. Prior to that, there was our short-run web-comic SJZC (2017). However, I don’t think I’ve previously included links to our STEM music videos: Power of Ten (2017), The Three Anatomical Planes (2018), Have Yourself a Healthy Little Kidney (2018), and Don’t Shop (2020).

In all of those videos Phil had the same role: create animated scenes out of Legos — which he did well! But now he is 18 and a member of his high school’s video club, with real filming and editing skills….

And so I am proud to present our first NON-Lego video collaboration: a music video for “Short Belly/Long Tendon,” a parody of the Cake song “Short Skirt/Long Jacket.”
